In participation with the 2010 Capital Fringe Festival, Doorway Arts Ensemble produced Sex & Education, a new play by Lissa Levin. As lighting and sound designer, the most prominent challenges I faced in the production came from creating cohesive, artistic lighting in a converted townhouse venue, shared with several other performances in repertory. As the photographer and graphic designer for the project, my greatest challenges included generating engaging, attractive media which would stand out in a festival of several hundred performances, and working quickly under tight deadlines when two thirds of the cast had to be replaced mid rehearsal, requiring all new promotional and publicity work.
